How does Singapore Property Tax work?

Property Tax in Singapore is payable annually based on the Annual Value (AV) of the property. For owner-occupied residential properties, rates are 0% to 16% progressive. For non-owner-occupied properties, rates range from 10% to 32%. Buyer's Stamp Duty (BSD) is payable on property purchases at rates from 1% to 4% of the purchase price. Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD) applies at rates from 5% to 65% depending on citizenship, residency status, and number of properties owned. There is no capital gains tax on property sales in Singapore.
