How is net salary calculated?
From your gross salary, the CPF employee contribution is deducted at a rate based on your age group (20% for β€55, 13% for 55β60, 7.5% for 60β65, 5% for 65+), capped at the first SGD 74,400/year. Income tax is applied progressively: the first SGD 20,000 is tax-free, with marginal rates from 2% to 22% on higher brackets. The Skills Development Levy (SDL) is 0.25% of monthly wages up to SGD 4,500.
