Roth IRA Calculator

Project your Roth IRA balance at retirement. Roth IRA contributions are made with after-tax dollars, but all withdrawals in retirement are tax-free — including investment gains.

Why a Roth IRA?

A Roth IRA is a retirement account where you contribute after-tax dollars, and your money grows tax-free. In retirement, you can withdraw both contributions and earnings without paying any tax. For 2026, the contribution limit is $7,000 ($8,000 if age 50+). Unlike a traditional IRA, Roth IRAs have no Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), giving you more flexibility in retirement.

Income limits (2026): Full Roth IRA contributions are allowed for single filers with MAGI under $150,000 and married couples under $236,000. Above these limits, the contribution is phased out.
