Yield
The income return on an investment, typically expressed as an annual percentage based on the asset's current price or cost.
Yield Curve
A graph plotting interest rates of bonds with equal credit quality but different maturity dates, with normal upward slope or inverted shape as recession signals.
Yield Spread
The difference in yields between two different debt securities, typically comparing corporate bonds to Treasuries of similar maturity.
Yield to Maturity (YTM)
The total anticipated return on a bond if held until maturity, accounting for coupon payments, purchase price, and face value at maturity.
