How Pääomatulovero works in Finland

Finland taxes capital gains as pääomatulo (capital income). The first €30,000 of gains are taxed at 30%, and any gains above €30,000 are taxed at 34%. Crypto gains are treated the same as other capital gains. For property, gains from selling your primary residence are tax-exempt if you have lived there for at least 2 years. Otherwise, property gains follow the standard 30%/34% rates.
