Business Structures in Turkmenistan

Limited Liability Company (LLC)
The LLC is the most common business structure for small to medium-sized enterprises in Turkmenistan.
- Minimum Share Capital: TMT 100,000
- Shareholders: Minimum 1, maximum 50
- Directors: Minimum 1 (may be foreign)
- Liability: Limited to share capital
- Tax Residency: Place of effective management in Turkmenistan
- Audit Requirements: Required for larger LLCs
Joint-Stock Company (JSC)
Suitable for larger enterprises, JSCs can be open (public) or closed (private):
- Minimum Share Capital: TMT 500,000 (closed), TMT 1,000,000 (open)
- Shareholders: Minimum 1
- Directors: Board of directors required

Representative Office

Sole Proprietorship
