Sudan Social Contributions Guide — التأمينات الاجتماعية

Sudan mandatory social insurance contributions for 2026. The guide covers: the employee contribution at 3% of salary; the employer contribution at 8% of salary; the monthly cap on insurable earnings at SDG 5,000; the total combined rate of 11% of the contributory salary; and the benefits provided including old-age pension, disability pension, and survivor benefits.

Employee Contribution — حصة المؤمن عليه (3%)

  • Rate — 3% of salary: The employee must contribute 3% of their gross salary to the Social Insurance Fund. The contribution is deducted directly from the gross salary by the employer.
  • Monthly ceiling — SDG 5,000: The contributory salary is capped at a maximum of SDG 5,000 per month. Any portion of salary above SDG 5,000 is not subject to social insurance contributions. The minimum contributory salary is also set by the government.
  • Coverage: Employee contributions fund old-age pension, disability pension, and survivor benefits. A minimum of 15 contribution years is required for pension eligibility.

Employer Contribution — حصة صاحب العمل (8%)

  • Rate — 8% of salary: The employer pays 8% of the employee's gross salary to the Social Insurance Fund. The employer contribution is paid on top of the employee's gross salary.
  • Same ceiling — SDG 5,000/month: The employer contribution uses the same SDG 5,000/month cap as the employee contribution.
  • Additional obligations: Employers must: (a) register all employees with the Social Insurance Fund within 30 days of hiring, (b) submit monthly contribution declarations, (c) maintain payroll records for inspection.
